Zalgo Text Generator

Zalgo text is the glitchy, "cursed" writing that appears to bleed above and below the line. This Zalgo text generator builds it by stacking Unicode combining diacritical marks on top of each character you type. Because those marks are ordinary text, the corrupted result copies and pastes into Discord, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube comments and almost anywhere else that takes plain text.

Use the intensity slider to control how heavy the corruption is — 1 to 3 stays readable and is what most people want for a username or a caption, while 12 and above produces the fully consumed look. The three toggles let you place marks only above the line, only below, or through the middle, which is handy when a chat app clips overflowing text. Press Re-randomise to shuffle the marks and get a different variation of the same intensity.

Be aware that Zalgo text overflows its line box by design, so many platforms now truncate or normalise it, and some Discord servers auto-moderate it. Each mark is a separate character too, so a short Zalgo phrase can run to thousands of characters and trip length limits.
