Average human visual reaction time is around 200–250 ms.

This free reaction time test measures how quickly you respond to a visual signal. Start the test, wait for the box to turn green, then click as fast as you can. The reaction time test records the gap between the colour change and your click, in milliseconds, and keeps a running best and average across your last 20 attempts.

The average human reaction time to a visual stimulus is roughly 200–250 ms. Anything under 200 ms is quick, and consistently scoring below 180 ms puts you in the range trained gamers and athletes reach. Scores above 300 ms usually mean fatigue, distraction, or input lag rather than slow reflexes — screen refresh rate, mouse polling and browser rendering all add a few milliseconds on top of your true biological latency.

Take five or more attempts before reading anything into a score. A single reaction time test result is noisy; the average is the number that actually tells you something. Try the test at different times of day, after coffee, or on a wired mouse versus a wireless one to see how much your setup contributes. Everything runs entirely in your browser and no results are uploaded anywhere.
